Motherhood Begins
Unhurried, expert breastfeeding and feeding support from a board certified lactation consultant, in the comfort of your own home. For the hard feeds, for the worried moments, the little wins, and all the moments in between.
“I cannot recommend Isabel enough. Our baby had difficulty nursing due to a severe tongue tie and my own anatomy. She helped increase my supply, nurse my baby without a nipple shield, and get us to a place where I no longer have to triple feed.”

“Isabel was so kind, helpful and patient. She taught us tips and tricks for our newborn who was having a hard time latching. After a couple of appointments together we were able to see significant improvements.”

“Our son had a tongue tie. Isabel gave us exercises that increased his range of motion and improved his latch and suck, and helped us decide with confidence to move forward with a revision.”

You are not a milk supply. You are a mother, three days in, doing something hard for the first time. We begin there.Isabel Price, IBCLC · Founder
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with hospital and NICU experience and more than three years of private practice supporting hundreds of Austin families, and one of the few practitioners in the city trained in oral habilitation for babies with tongue-tie. She also holds the Guiding Bottle Breakthroughs certification in bottle refusal and trained in flange fitting for pumping with Babies in Common.
Bilingual in English and Spanish. A mother. Gentle, practical, and never judgmental about how you feed your baby.
Read Isabel's storyEvery visit covers the everyday questions. These are the problems families are often told to just wait out, and where specialized training makes the difference.
Isabel is one of the few lactation consultants in Austin with a certificate in Oral Habilitation of the Breastfeeding Dyad: A Master Class for IBCLCs. She looks at how your baby's tongue, lips, and jaw actually move during a feed, not just how the tie looks.
When your baby cries at the sight of a bottle and your return to work is around the corner, it's stressful for everyone. Isabel holds the Guiding Bottle Breakthroughs certification and helps babies under 4 months learn to take a bottle, calmly and at your baby's pace, using the bottles you already have.
A flange in the wrong size can make pumping painful and leave milk behind. Isabel trained in Flange Fitting for Clinical Practice with Babies in Common, so your pump is fitted to your body, not to the size that came in the box.
Also: low milk supply, weaning off nipple shields, ending triple feeding, and painful latch.
Yes. Motherhood Begins is in network with Curative and bills Curative directly for covered visits. Isabel verifies your benefits before confirming your visit, and you pay only what your plan requires. For other insurance plans, you pay for your visit yourself (HSA and FSA cards are welcome) and can ask for a superbill to submit to your insurer. Many families are reimbursed in part or in full. We don't submit claims to insurers other than Curative.
We start by talking through what's going on. Then Isabel watches a full feed, weighs your baby before and after, and helps with latch, positioning, and comfort, while checking in on how you're doing. Before she leaves, you'll make a plan together, and you'll have seven days of message support afterward.
Yes. The goal is a fed baby and a mother who feels like herself. Pumping, bottles, formula, paced feeding, supply, weaning, and everything in between. No lectures. Expecting? The Prenatal Feeding Consult covers every way of feeding, including formula preparation and amounts.

Yes, it's one of Isabel's specialties. She holds a certificate in Oral Habilitation of the Breastfeeding Dyad: A Master Class for IBCLCs, assesses oral function at every visit, and uses targeted exercises to improve latch and suck. When a release might help, she refers you to a trusted local pediatric dentist and supports feeding before and after the release. More about tongue-tie support.
